Sun-Kissed Wings

Today I am heading to a conference, I shot “Sun-Kissed Wings” this morning at the Atlanta airport. I used three images to get this to where I wanted it. Basically, the first two were HDR images I then combined them and outputted the main image. I then took Dynamic Black and White and ran off a B&W image with anice center spotlight with a 30-40% skew. I then took blender and merged the two images. From there I ran it through SnapSeed which I use to adjust brightness, ambiance, a bit of contrast as well as sharpening. I then took the image and ran it through PSE and reduced the noise. Finally, out to Squaready and off to Instagram.

As The Water Falls

I call this one… “As The Water Falls”.  I took this photo a few weeks ago near Helen, Georgia. It’s a little dam behind the Nora Mill Granary. The damn was built a very long time ago, to divert water into the waterwheel house under the mill.

Etherialism

“Etherealism“…  I took this photo this past weekend at the Brass Town Valley Resort & Spa in Young Harris, Georgia. The shot was taken right behind the resort, looking across the golf course. It was a beautiful evening, and the sun hit the course just so.

If you are ever in or around Young Harris, GA and need a place to stay… this place is a good choice. Stunning views and a nice amount of privacy. Loved it. Hope you enjoy “Etherealism“ as much as I enjoyed taking it.

I’ve Fallen and Can’t Get Up

This image is “I’va Fallen and Can’t Get Up“. This house has been abandoned for a long time now. I have driven by it a number of times. Its right off 197 in Clarkesville, GA, a bit past the Post Office. I just never seemed to have a good opportunity to shoot the photo. The roof slowly but surely fell. It was sagging for months. But finally fell a couple of months ago.

I shot this while on my Harley. I was driving around town, and passed it. Pulled to the side of the road and snapped away. If I had brought my Jeep, I might have been brave and walked up to the from of the house. But there wasn’t really a good place to leave the bike. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the image. I reduced the noise on this shot quite a bit, so there is some loss in detail…

This image I call “And the Sun Shall Burn Brightly Within the Sky“. This photo was taken when I was leaving the Brass Town Valley Resort & Spa in Young Harris, Georgia.

I took the image at around 9am EST. The sun was cresting just over the mountain line and into some trees. Really was a beautiful sight to behold. Hope you enjoy it.

Ethereal

I would like to present to you “Ethereal“. This photo went through the ringer a bit. I processed a number of versions, I ended up using a Sepia, Black & White and Color variant to produce the final product.

I really enjoyed playing with this image. I wanted to show something light, mystical and a bit erie. I think I ended up accomplishing just that.

Corners

This image I call “Corners“. This shot was taken in Helen, GA about 1.5hrs NE of Atlanta. I was at the antique shop next door, and thought the sky looked nice. So, I dropped the tree-line and building into the lower portion of the image.

The sky was such a crazy blue color. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Enveloped by the Sun

This image I call “Enveloped by the Sun“. For some reason I really enjoyed this shot. I saw the light shining down through this field near my home. I drove to it and ended up shooting this a few times.

Originally, I wanted to convert this image to Black & White. I am happy with the outcome though. It took a lot of tweaking in a lot of different iPhone apps to get this image just so.
